Everything is there: these 5 words sum up perfectly what radio should be in today’s world, to remain competitive and touch listeners.

Reactivity:

Today, everything is going faster in our world. We are always connected to the news, especially through notifications on our laptops or social networks. The radio must go as fast as the today’s world!
With a comprehensive study of the target, we must keep our listeners abreast of everything that concerns them and quickly.
That’s why live broadcasting is essential!
Why wait 3 hours before passing the new song of the favorite artist of our listeners, why wait 3 days before doing a special show …?
Radio is much easier to produce than TV: Is something happening somewhere? We just need a phone to broadcast from here.
The more responsive we are, the more our listeners will feel concerned and affected by our program.

Amusement:

On a music radio, the listener comes to relax and change his mind!
With the music obviously and also with the animators.
We are in a negative and difficult news period.
So why not make our listener smile?
It can be done with pure entertainment. But you can also do it when you want to teach him something: playfully. We retain much better information when it’s with a game for example.
Our listener needs to be taken out of his everyday life: let’s smile and laugh!

Decision:

In this faster world, we have to hook our listener much faster and to help him to take the decision to stay with us.
We are constantly facing an influx of information and we spend less and less time on each of them. Even to find love, we can swipe in less than 1 second between hundreds of Tinder profiles …
That’s why in the first 10 seconds of an intervention, we have to prove to our listener that it’s a good idea to stay tuned as long as possible.
Teasing, musical hook, question …: the more you are concrete and effective, the more you hang on your listener!

Innovation:

A listener is never acquired! It takes daily fighting to keep it, to prove to him that he made the right choice.
As in a couple: the landmarks are good, but you must know how to break to surprise the loved one.
By constantly questioning oneself, always being alert to news, thinking about new content ideas or powerful events, addressing listeners on all existing media …
Innovate and be creative are essentials elements of a radio success.

Obsession :

We must think of one thing as soon as we open the microphone: our listener!
He is the center of our attentions: we make radio for him and thanks to him.
What could be better than meeting listeners, talking with them on the phone, getting feedback from them? Personally, I didn’t find.
R-A-D-I-O: this magical media makes us vibrate for a long time and for many more years if we make it evolve.
Radio resisted cinema, TV and social networks. It is the media closest to us and in which we have the most confidence.
We have never had so many tools to be successful. So it’s up to us to use them and always think of the 5 words.
And especially to us to develop our convictions and our commitment to offer the best program and make dream our listeners.
